elecell's founding story and proprietary technology were highlighted by 'HelloDD,' a science media outlet in the Daedeok Science Park.
The innovative startup story and proprietary technology of elecell lnc. (CEO Hyung-seop Han) were featured in an in-depth corporate spotlight interview by 'HelloDD,' a science media outlet in the Daedeok Science Park.
The report covered in detail the process and future vision of how a research team led by Hyung-seop Han, formerly of the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), brought the know-how in biomaterials research accumulated over more than 10 years out of the laboratory to commercialize it into medical devices that contribute to actual patients and society.
In this interview, elecell introduced its core pipelines, including a 'wound healing patch' based on advanced water battery technology and a 'sarcopenia prevention device' utilizing a human-like current stimulation system. In particular, the wound healing patch, which uses exudate as a power source to induce micro-electrical stimulation, is receiving significant attention from the industry for demonstrating innovation that improves recovery speed by more than double compared to conventional bandages.
Previously, in May, elecell was selected as a 'Star Valley' company by the Korea Technology Guarantee Fund, proving its excellent technological capabilities and growth potential. Additionally, in October of last year, the company received a product award at 'MedDevice Boston' in the United States, verifying its global technological competitiveness. Starting with the launch of bandages for mole and wart removal this year, Electel plans to fully expand into global markets, including the United States, the Middle East (Saudi Arabia), China, and Thailand, by the end of the year.
In an interview, Hyung-seop Han, stated, “Our slogan is ‘Hope for Healing,’” and expressed his aspirations, saying, “We want to present affordable and easy-to-use technology to patients around the world so that those suffering from chronic wounds can regain hope.”
